600 Elder house is about to come full circle.
The unit started life as the very successful Directors wine bar in the late 90's offering a stylish venue for wine lovers. Then, as the city evolved so did the area and it became "The Fortune Palace" Chinese restaurant. It was only open a couple of years and closed its doors in 2003.
Since then 600 Elder house has sat empty while the City Centre has grown up around it. The Theatre District is coming up to its 10th Birthday and the new Hub development with its many restaurants has started to centralise the Cities nightlife. With the growth and expansion of the city, life is being pushed back into the lower financial district of the city and Blueprint is going to play a big part in this development. Blueprint is located next to the Cities main railway station and has a capacity of 300. As an independent bar, Blueprint hopes to offer an alternative to the many chains of bars in the growing City Centre. Blueprints location in Station Square gives us excellent transport links on our doorstep. Virgin and Midland Mainline run trains from Euston to Birmingham and Manchester, with local stops serving Northampton, Wolverton, Bletchley and Leighton Buzzard. Station Square has until now been left out, however a major re-vamp is planned in the near future. New neighbours too have moved in recently, and they include M&S, Costa and a late night Subway, to name a few. We hope you will enjoy Blueprint as much as we have in creating it.
